The “Microphone Records” recording company is delighted to announce a new and interesting duet, “Pasak\u0101” (In a Fairytale) by Lauris Reiniks and Aisha. The song was written by Lauris Reiniks and M\u0101rti\u0146\u0161 Freimanis.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI like to record duets with young and talented Latvian singers from time to time,\u201d says Lauris. \u201cThis seemed to be the right moment and the right song to record with Aisha, whose new image I really enjoy. I am delighted at the result, and I hope that our audience will enjoy it, too.\u201d<\/p>\n Aisha also says that she loves the song, adding that she had never thought of such a combination before: \u201cLauris and I represent fairly different styles of music, but I really liked the song, and why shouldn\u2019t I record a duet with Latvia\u2019s version of Enrique Iglesias?\u201d She says that with a grin.<\/p>\n The music video tells the story of two young people who are in different cars in a traffic jam, make eye contact, and understand that they have finally found one another. They leave their cars and meet in the middle of the street. The video was filmed on Br\u012bv\u012bbas Street during an actual traffic jam, as well as at the Panorama Plaza apartment complex.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know that this is something that would happen in real life,\u201d says Lauris, who wrote and directed the video. \u201cOn the other hand, why shouldn\u2019t we present such a romantic fairytale?\u201d The cameraman and assistant director for the video was the senior cameraman of LNT, Imants Za\u0137\u012btis, and it was edited by Arturs Nikolajevs.<\/p>\n Both performers are very busy this autumn. Aisha is continuing her enormously successful \u201cLittle Soul\u201d tour in Latvia, and she has just announced an additional date in R\u012bga \u2013 November 5. She is also busy in performing the title role of a musical called \u201cPifs.\u201d Lauris hosts the popular \u201cSinging Families\u201d television programme each Sunday evening on LNT, and he is one of the stars of the celebrated Latvian version of the play \u201cLadies\u2019 Night.\u201d<\/p>\n Also this week, Lauris is releasing a new and attractive version of his homepage, www.laurisreiniks.lv<\/a>. The page was designed by the Balti company, which says that no other artist in Latvia has a homepage of that kind.
