Lauris Reiniks to play and strip in “Ladies’ Night” (Kailie Brieži)!
International theater company “Domino Teatras” is proud to announce the National premiere of the world famous play “Ladies’ Night” (Kailie Brieži) on May 21, 22 at the small hall of Dailes Teātris (Dailes Theater) in Riga. Lauris Reiniks is going to play one of the leading roles along with Roberto Meloni, Jānis Jarāns, Artūrs Krūzkops, Jānis Vimba, Agris Daņiļēvičs and Aleksandra Kurusova.
The show is based on Anthony McCarten and Stephen Sinclair’s outstanding comedy play that has been one of the most staged play in the world in the past years. The Latvian version is directed by Olegs Šaposnikovs and choreographed by Agris Danilevics and Markus Zmoelnig.
The action of a play takes place in a small town of Latvia where people are facing nowadays problems of lost jobs and apathy. The characters have decided to fight that problem themselves using radical methods- they form a group of male striptease dancers.
“I am very happy to play in this show. It is going to be funny, but with a strong idea. I believe that crisis starts in our minds and only then it touches the reality. Maybe that is why this show will be very topical now in Latvia”, says Lauris who will play Armands.
